Thread: Fetch?

    I watched my terrior (who would not fetch anything!) teach my standard poodle puppy to fetch. He knew what we wanted the poodle to do, so he showed her a couple times and then sat down and watched her fetch for the rest of her life....hysterically funny and have it on video. So, maybe have your dog around another dog that fetches so he can see how's it's done.

    My Miniature schnauzer figured out fetch on his own. but he only does it in the house. Once we head outside, he is distracted my too many other things... like grass!

    Avoid this mistake....

    ** When training Fetch, do NOT cheer your dog on.
    -- Rewards REDUCE motivation
