Talking about doggy dandruff

I've heard of dog dandruff and I wan to share about this condition.

This dog dandruff is commonly seen in dogs with double coats. It's somewhat similar to human dandruff. They are tiny flakes of dead skin that peals of the dog's skin. This dog dandruff could also cause some allergic reactions when inhaled by humans.

Well, dog dandruff combined with your dog's oil and dirt is one of the causes of extreme matting and tangling in your dog's coat. Another indication that your dog has dog dandruff is when your dog would still smell bad even after a bath.

The best thing to help cure this problem is to BRUSH YOUR DOG DAILY.

Hi Folks - My little Yorkie, Taffy, had a few tiny white flecks the first week I brought him home in December. When he went in for his 1st puppy check, the vet said he had a few dry-skin flakes--not fleas or flea eggs. So now, I put 1/8--1/4 tsp. of either olive oil or sunflower oil on his dry pup chow and stir it in well. It is June and I haven't seen any more of this problem and his coat looks nice, too. Also, his stools are not so dry and hard; so I think it probably helps his digestive tract, too. Anyone else do this?

I agree MaryAnn, but I also agree with adding oil to the food. I also believe in giving cold compressed flax oil too.
