Potty Training Two Puppies
I have two miniature schnauzers who are 10 weeks old and I am having problems with the potty training. When I take them outside they usually pee immediately. Then, the playing begins. At some time, one will poop but the other one does not. So, when we go inside, withing 30 minutes, I find that they have pooped in the house. I have tried to separate them and to stay outside longer but that is not working. What can I do to stop this behavior. Pooping inside the house is becoming the norm and not accidents.

I also have 2 puppies and haven't had much trouble with potty training.
They are just over three months and rarely have an accident.
If they do it's my fault for not paying attention.
Even though I live in Canada and the winters are cold they spend a lot of time outside in the fenced yard.
When they are inside they are either in their crate (they go all night without an accident) or in a playpen.
You could also tether them to you so you can tell if they need to go out.
In the evening within about a half hour after they eat they go outside.
As with your puppies they pee immediately but I leave them out.
They stay out for an hour or more.
I would say you aren't leaving them out long enough and maybe the one that doesn't poop is more nervous.
If possible leave them out by themselves for a while and keep a constant eye on them when they are inside.
Remember they are only 10 weeks old and accidents will happen.
When they do, don't make a fuss - it will only make it worse.

Hi I have two pups 13 weeks and 22weeks so it might not be the same if your pups are the same age but I found that one pup responds better and has a eagerness to learn and usually if I want them to do something I work on that one and the other one them gives me attention and wants to join in . Also neither of my pups have poohed outside on their walks they wait until they get home and go in the garden I don't draw attention to it I think that they are so eager to get out and sniff and say hello that they can't focus on poohing aswell. I think it will come in time but it would be a different matter if they were doing it in the house.
