My Bichon Jack has the worst breath> i have been told it comes from his teeth So my question is should the vet do it because he needs a compleat cleaning a tooth brush wount do it or take the long road and try useing the finger brush method I don't think that will get everything if he would only floss
Does anyone think it might be a dijestive problem? sour stomach ? He is on mostly dry food with a little wet food for balance
    Thanks

If you buy an enzyme toothpaste for dogs, it should take care of the bad breath. You don't really have to brush their teeth, but make sure that it is on each tooth. It's really easy. However, if this is what you are doing and it's not working, I suggest you make a vet appointment because it could mean something else is going on.

It is important to get your puppy/dog used to having his teeth brushed regularly. I disagree with what Sarah is saying ...that "you don't really have to brush their teeth, but make sure that it is on each tooth". Brushing removes tarter from building up on teeth....Just placing toothpaste softly on the teeth and not brushing won't really remove the tarter. Think about your own mouth...what would happen if you never really "brushed" your teeth. No difference with a dog. You bath your dog, you brush your dog, you try and feed a healthy diet to your dog, why not propeerly care for his teeth?
