Thank you Sarah. I'm also worried because only one testicle has appeared. My vet says to wait and see. I just wish that my dog don't have to go through surgery for this. Is this very common with dog males?

I just wish that my dog doesn't have to go through surgery for this before it is the right time for neutering. Is this very common with male dogs?

Good Morning Sandra! Is it common that a dog has only one testicle? I don't really know if it's common, but it does happen. It really isn't anything to worry about. Sometimes the testicle will descend and sometimes not. I'm not sure if it affects mating or not. But that's something you don't have to worry about, because you are planning on neutering him anyway. Don't feel sorry for him, he has no clue if he should have 2 testicles or one.
Good morning Sarah. Your reply was funny and made me laugh. I meant whether this happens very often to male dogs and if it is something to worry about. But since it is not and it does not affect his health, I guess I just wait until he's neutered. You know it is the first time I ever had a dog and I'm really spoiling him with attention and affection, and now that my kids grew up and ''don't need me so much'', my dog fills my life and takes away all the stress I have during the day. Anyway, sorry for the silly questions but I'm learning and I really like this forum and to be able to share our concerns for our precious pets.
