Hi Mia. I can understand your being afraid of having her spayed but I'm pretty sure that Scarlett weighed less than 3 lbs, although close to that, when I had her spayed. She did well. I was the one who was a mess that day. Scarlett has weighed 4 lbs since she was around a year and a half. I heard that getting them spayed later can cause them to get more tumors but I'm not sure---that could be an old wives' tale. My older female was 6 when I had her spayed and she hasn't had any health issues. Have a good day. Beverly
