hi blackshadow we are doing fine.sorry to hear about the tick probs we are rather fortunate over here in britain in that we dont have as much of a problem with themhowever we are currently suffering from the heat.we had a bit of sa news the other night our jaxs doggie firlfriend cass as had to be taken to the vets she was unable to walk.her mum came over asking for advise on pet insurance they were not insured and it could cost upto 2000 pound in treatment fees.the vet said worse case senario it could be arthritis.this would appear to eminate from xmas when in the snow cass split her claw and had to have the claw removed only this time it is the other paw.i dont know how she is because i dont want to go around and upset her mum and dad.jax is missing her madley when out on the field he constantly looks for her.

hi blackshadow no we havnt yet done allthe training he comes when we shout sits etc but he is murder at barking at people when he sees them but he is getting better he to loves to play fortunately most of jaxes chums are quite largeapart from lucky who is a staff but quite small.cass is a border cross honey is a alsation as is leo funnily enough jax does have a tendancy to prefer playing with alsations one of them saber he chases around the meadow and vica versa.jax is a big softy with us but very protective of me he doesnt ;ike other doogs coming near for a stroke he quite frequently puts himself between me and the other dog.but he will take food of a fork with no trouble and will even let you take a bone from him and not bother he is hyper sensative we have also six cats if one of thm is being told off he thinks its him be told off.he also loves to paddle in water and enjoys long walks and his football on the field in the evening if none of his friends are about..
  4. I have a 15 month old Black Labrador Retriever, and since the day i brought him home he has replaced my "shadow", and that's why he got the name shadow. I had some problems with him, but with a lot of patients and training he is getting better. There are days the way he looks at me it seems he is thing the same thing about me. But he is stron, healthy, and good natured so it could be a lot worse. He loves a good 4 or 5 hour walk, but will settle for an hour. For a food oriented dog, i think he would give away a meal for swimming, or even running in the ditch with 3 - 4 inches of water in it. He loves to play with other animals, unforturnatly he is much larger than most of our friends, and he plans so rough he hurts them, not on purpose, so i have been looking for people in my general area with bigger dogs to set up some play dates. He has a mind of his own, listen when he wants, but for the most part he is great.
How about your jax, any troubles, or have you got all the training done?

hi blackshadow and good evening from over here in britain that seems more shocking than what we found these people are evil and nasty you have to ask how they would feel if it was their pet that got killed or injured.thankfully there have been no further signs of steaks and the field was clear tonight of those idiots on the bikes.forgot to ask what kind of dog do you have?i dont know if i have told you jax is a tri colourd short haired border collie.
  6. I know what you mean. We have hundreads of miles of old train rail lines that are no longer used. The railes have been removed, and it has been fixed up and maintained as a walking/bike trail. There have been places along the sides where people have put large animal traps out in hopes of catching (you guessed it) our dogs. Others have put out nail belts across the trail with the intent of puncturing the tries of the ATC's that drive on the trail way too fast. So far there has been no serious injuries to man or pet, but it's only a matter of time before one of these small minded people do manage to injur our pets.
