Hi Jude, This idea is great. Most of us dog lovers can share all experiences we encounter with our "friend/s" easily and quick responses. My congratulations to you and Sharda.

Great idea, y'all. My friends, non dog owners, are getting tired of hearing about my wonderful new friend, Anastasia. I keep running across owners who have ChiWienies (ChiDacshunds) from coworkers to nurse at a lab. How about here? I'll be coming back with questions soon. Thanks Jude. Be texting with you.

Hello~! Thanks for the warm welcome guys! This is actually Sharda's idea so the credit should go to her. I only help in making this forum a friendly environment.

I hope everybody gets to have fun and exchange some ideas and experiences that they had with their dog.

Aren't they just the best friends you could have?. Lol. My 2 are 1 yr old and it is like haveing 2 2 yr olds in my house. My female is also named abby and my male is taz, short for tazmanian devil. He truly lives up to his name. lol. I am very excited about this site. Do you let your pups out of the house without a leash? My female will try to run off tho my male will stay unless she takes off. Then it's a game of chase. Any hints for training her? When she came to live with us she hadn't been socialized at all. It got to the point i actually thought she might have a brain issue. My male has taught her alot but to discipline her is like you are killing her and she will shake for hours. That's only raising your voice. We don't ever spank her. Any ideas would be very helpful. Thank you for your time and have a fabulous day. Heather

    new guy on the site

wanna say hi to everyone, i'm very new here. finally i think i got this much figured out. i joined to learn all i can about my new puppy. shes a scottie and was born august 9th 2009. i love her to pieces. i've learned already i have/use to watch her 24/7 if outside in my back yard. i have many trees and she seems to have a thing for sticks and chewing and at first swallowing, which almost cost her her life. aside from that she may have allergies, not serious yet. i learned from past experience about allergies and watch her food. she's never had any dog food with wheat/corn flour in them. i am going to try some all natural food next. i've tried science diet puppy, iams puppy and now adult active iams. i've been a big nutro feeder with past dogs, i may start with them again, just living where i do its not sold locally. well i hope to meet lots of people while i'm here.

Hi! I'm new to this site also. I live in Northern Wisconsin in the little town of Crandon. I live about 120 miles south of Appleton, WI. I live in a town that holds about 2,000 people, very small and very north woods. I have a Cocker Spaniel Parti-Mix female. She's hyper and quite a handful. Right now I'm trying to teach her not to torment my cat, Ozzi, and so far not succeeding in doing so. But I'll keep trying! It was nice to "meet" you. Good luck with your puppy and have lots of fun with her!
