my name is westieken i come from manchester uk i have a 4yrs old westie girl called "Fluffy" i have been having a lot of trouble with her this year been told by vets she has mites under her skin after she had skin biospy after 2 months of trying different meds and thought my petcare insurance would cover the costs but then found out they WONT pay for the treatment as i saw a vet the day insurance started in july last year the vet TOLD me she had marks on her tail back and brown patches on her skin and underneath her belly . but not too worry if my doggie wasn,t suffering it would be ok so i went alway thinking i would have no problems then in december took her back to another vet in different place but same vet company was told she was poorly and needed treatment so started on anti bio.???? (sorry cant spell haha) told to change her food too Wellbeloved only no treats or anything i used to give her Cesar X bakers but told cesar was bad for westies too rich OMG unblieveable with all adverts i see so no more treats bathe her twice a week but only use baby shampoo or struff she give me didnt do any good still marks on then she had skin biospy and told she has mites everywhere inside her so now she is on meds called Panomec inj 0.5ml in mouth every day and big surprise all marks are going and she is getting back her white coat and alot happier now but i am so ANGRY with insurance and vets for not treating her last july when vet said would do her no harm and now got a bill for over £500 to pay vets cancelled my insurance of £15 direct debit after 10 months of cover for nothing all this has made me ill with my seizures that i have sorry for long story but warning too others about PET insurance make sure your pet is 100% healthy before you take out insurance or they WONT pay out.
