I have used both the toothbrush and the rubber finger-tip brush. My Yorkie likes the brush as it's bush is smaller. My friend once told me that she used cotton gauze wrapped around her finger with a dog toothpaste, instead of a brush, as her dog wouldn't chew or bite on her fingers--I suppose it would depend on your own dog's personality and aggressiveness.

Get her to eat doogie treats like Denta Bone or Greenies, milk bones. She will clean her own teeth this way. Also does she have any play toys she chew on? Give her some good dry food, mix a little in with her regular food. Royal Canin for Poodles is good.

I'm having a hard time grooming my Poodie especially with tooth brushing.
Not sure if it was the toothpaste. He growls every time I insert the toothbrush in his mouth. Do you guys know of a tartar-control treat for dogs?

Our poodle Max was eighteen months old when we got him, teeth in terrible condition. Cost $390.22 for scaling and polishing...........I'm certainly going to clean teeth regularly, give bones and chicken necks to chew as I have with all my previous pets.
