Unfortunately if you dont groom out properly the coat will "Felt" it can become so close to the skin that only a surgical blade on the clipper will remove the coat!.........However, if you clip, bath dry [ hair straight]....then once completely dry [ down to the skin] use a spritz bottle and spray coat all over a section at a time and pull your fingers through to give a ringlet effect...........leave coat to dry naturally.............it is very important though to try to keep skin dry so the part of the hair where it leaves the dog stays dry or you will get the Felting problem all over
