    Scratching

We have a two year old terrier mix that constantly scratches Her groomer checks her every month and says she doesn't have fleas or anything else. She thinks she might just have sensitive skin (vet also told us this) so she uses a gentler shampoo on her. I was just wondering what we can do for her in between her visits to the groomer. Sometimes she wakes up in the middle of the night to scratch. I already have a call into the vet because it bothers us to see her having to do that all the time. I just wanted to know what other people thought. Thanks.

She may have allergies. Where exactly is she scratching? Does she scratch at certain times...like when she first comes in from a walk or playing?

I take a baby wipe and wipe my little gal (also a terrier) down every time we come in from a walk or a visit from somewhere. Also, when she is on my lap I comb her all the while giving her a once over.

Glad to hear you have a call into your Vet. He/she will be better apt to direct you after your dog is checked. I'll pray for you that it is nothing serious.
