Thumbs up Trimming my scotties nails

i learned the hard way like most, clipping ur dogs nails can be a huge issue for them/u. to make a long story short. i use my electric dremmel with sanding disks. i still have to have someone help hold her. i've learned this way is best for me to hold her paw/nail firmly and not let the rotating disk flip her nail around.
i run my dremel at half speed with is 15 on mine. i have some home made wild bird snack sticks cut up for her lil treats. every one/two nails she gets a treat. this for sure keeps her attention. for me this method is by far better than any clipping, which i have used a couple times before. the last time she moved when i clipped and ooooooooops nicked the quick. that was the end of that story. if anyones has a easier way other than taking them to ur vet and let them torture ur pet, i would like to konw. once that quick has been nipped, they never forget and will fight u to the end. i do this every 2/3 weeks, much easier to sand more often than wait every couple months. well thats my 2cents worth, works for me!
