    Advice on Nutrition before Surgery

    [FONT="Arial Narrow"]Greetings Everyone:

    I am the blessed "mommie" of two 7 month old pekinese mix (4-5lbs). They are currently eating dry organic dog food in the mornings and brown rice with babyfood (100% chicken) during the evening.

    As they are about to go into surgery (1 week) for spaying and neutering, I am concerned. Should I be giving additional supplements to insure their little systems are nutrient complete and in the best shape to heal?

    In Gratitude to All Who Love Our Animals,

    C.

    I wouldn't mess with their diet right now. Leave them if they are thriving on what they are eating.
    You may want to consider supplements for you puppies afterwards. What adult food are you considering feeding them after 1 year?

    Hello C, what did you vet say about this?

    I really suggest that you consult with your vet first, a dog's diet can be a sensitive issue so it would be better
    to have an expert opinion about this.
