Reasons why you need to socialize your dogs

Hello guys here's another Sharda newsletter about socialzing your dogs.

I believe this can really help your dog overcome some behavior problems.

DOG OBEDIENCE TRAINING AND SOCIALIZING DOGS

A dog that is not properly socialized may be more prone to bite as well, so it is important to make sure that puppies are socialized well from the beginning.

For older dogs who have not received proper dog socialization or dog training, it is important to begin working with them.

The best time to socialize your dog is when he is between the AGES OF EIGHT AND SIXTEEN WEEKS.

This is a critical period because your dog is growing and maturing at a very rapid rate during this time period. If your dog does not receive any exposure and dog training during this time period, the result will be a dog that is fearful and/or aggressive.

Buddy was a friendly dog, because I raised him to not know how strong he was. [Bud was a Rottweiler] He use to play with yorkies as these were the only breed of dog around for him at that time. We then moved more rural where there weren't any dogs, so buddy became one of the pack of horses and had to be with them for a while every day.

My point is that although socialization is important it doesn't have to be with a dog. Don't be afraid to let your dogs around other animals. Supervision is important at first..
