What to do in emergency situations

This is a topic that concentrates in doing something for your dog in emergence situations, like

if your dog suddenly vomits and gets a fever and you can't contact your vet about it.

I think this is really necessary so, I hope you guys share some idea..

As for me, I understand that when your dog has diarrhea or vomit (not sure about vomiting ) that you

withhold all solid foods for at least 24 hours for adult dogs and 12 hours for puppies but you HAVE to

keep your dog hydrated at all times.
