We have had people in here who have purchased dogs from "licensed Breeders" and they turned out to be "puppy mills", with poor quality pups. Read around the forum and you'll find these people.

There is no reason why you should not get your dog an exam to find out if there is anything wrong with her. There are Vets that strictly do "Holistic" Medicine, if its conventional medicine you are against. But you being a "licensed breeder" should have a vet who gives your pups their first exams, and worming.

If you followed the link to the article you can learn about eclampsia, and the importance of not giving your dog 'fast acting Vit C. because of the health problems, as well as other contraindications.

You are correct in that it is none of my business what you do, even if it's not humane or legal. It's your life. But my concern is for the poor mother who may be ill and need assistance, and because of your hatred for vets you aren't taking care of her needs. That to me is neglect. Like I said, there are a lot of so called breeders who are licensed only to become puppy mills.

If you don't have any respect for this forum, why not just leave, why resort to such behaviour which is uncalled for, I never called you out of your name, or disrespected you in any way.

    Hello Ladies,

Please calm down. I believe that Sarah is just pointing out what she's thinking and I don't really see anything wrong with that.

Everyone in the forum wants to help each other as much as possible. You are both very passionate about your dogs but I think
what concerns Sarah is the fact that you mentioned that you try to avoid the vet as much as possible and that you don't want
    to desex your dogs.

So let's talk this out properly and be calm. Each person has his and her opinion and so I think we should respect that. This forum
was created for dog owners to exchange information about raising our dogs properly.

Can you give the dog magnesium sulfate when the dog is having seizures while pregnant? This is the treatment for pregnant mothers.
