Eye Ulcer

I have a 10 yr old mini schnauzer who has dry eyes and developed an ulcer in one eye that required emergency surgery. This happened 6 weeks ago and I am still giving her drops every 4 hrs. She is also a diabetic which I realize will take more time to heal. So far the vet is pleased with the healing process. Does anyone else have this problem with their dogs?

Sorry to hear about your Schnauzer but hang in there, I had a Persian cat that had a eye ulcer and she had two surgeries and it still was not right. My Vet said let me try one more thing and he did and it healed, but she had a spot on that eye. She lived to be 14.
