Reflux & vomiting by Bichon dog

I use a Buffalo Blue dog food and also make homemade...I have tried several small meals a day, a little broth on dry food, etc. for no apparent reason can do well for several weeks even and then be in a bout of occasional vomiting after eating, sometimes several hrs. afterwards or reflux....not noticing eating very fast....vet suggested feeding a small amount in evening so wouldn't have complete empty stomach in morning...sometimes helps and other times will reflux foamy bile before even eating.....help ...any other suggestions....would probiotics help

I do recommend supplements, but ONLY AFTER checking with your Vet, and discussing it with him or her first. How old is your Bichon? Has your Vet run any medical tests to check if there may be any underlying factor causing this?

I know of a few dogs that occassionally vomit, but nothing like you are describing. I have seen a few dogs eat grass when they have a upset tummy. Could your dog possibly have a allergy to something in the food? I believe a blood test can check that. Again, check with your Vet.

I wish you and your dog the very best.
