Hello guys!
Sharda informed me about your interest in dangerous food for dogs which is why I'm creating this
thread. So don't be shy and let's fill this thread up! Let's help keep each other informed so that we can
avoid any accidents.
I'm still asking for Sharda's persmission about posting past updates about this kind of topic so that everybody can read it and comments about it.
edited: I have gotten Sharda's permission. I don't to post something too long, so, here are some foods that can be dangerous for your dogs.
--------
ONIONS
--------
Onions can cause a form of hemolytic anemia called Heinz body
anemia, a condition that causes the destruction of red blood cells.
Kidney damage may follow.
It is not clear what quantity of onions is poisonous, but the
effects can be cumulative. Poisoning can result from raw, cooked
and dehydrated forms.
Avoid feeding table scraps and any foods cooked with onions
(including some baby foods).
--------
RAISINS
--------
Raisins have the same effect as grapes on your dog.
It can cause irreversible damage to the kidneys that can possibly
result in death.
Signs of toxicity include vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea,
abdominal pain, decreased urine production (possibly leading to
lack of urine production), weakness and an unsteady gait.
----------
RAW EGGS
----------
Raw eggs contain an enzyme called avidin, which decreases the
absorption of vitamin B that can lead to coat and skin problems for
your dog.
--------
TOBACCO
--------
Tobacco contains nicotine, which affects the digestive and nervous
systems that can result in rapid heartbeat, collapse, coma, and
death.
For cautionary measures it would be better if you don't smoke near
your dog.
Like humans dogs can suffer because of second hand smoke.
