A simple STORY that could save your DOG'S LIFE From Sharda

This is Sharda with a veryimportant dog food newsletter.

Before I give you the link let me just share a story about, my
Friend, Jude's trip to the vet.

Actually, a few months ago when friend Jude was in the vet's office
for the yearly shots for dog Fafner the vet told them of a story
about a dog who almost died because she wasn't being fed enough.
    I know you may be thinking;

"Of course Sharda, if you don't feed a dog properly he/she can die"

Yes, that is true but let me tell you what happened ok?

So, there was this lady who came rushing in the vet's office at
night demanding that the vet to do whatever she needs to do to keep
her dog alive and that she will pay for whatever amount necessary.

So, the vet took a look at the dog, the dog was a female black
Dachshund and her mouth was bleeding because of her shivering. The
vet needed some answers before she can treat the dog though so she
    asked the owner what happened.

The dog owner still in shock couldn't answer and she just kept
    saying;

"Just do whatever you need to do to keep her alive!"

So, the vet did her best to calm the dog owner down to get some
answers because giving the dog the wrong medication can really be
    lethal at that stage.

Fortunately, the dog owner calmed down after talking to the vet and
it was then that the vet found out that the dog JUST GAVE BIRTH a
    few days ago.

The vet immediately injected some vitamins and some other
medication and minutes after that the dog stopped shivering and was
    out of danger.

My friend Jude when she told me this story was saying (with tears
    in her eye, she's really very sensitive when it comes to dogs);

"Sharda, just imagine if the dog owners didn't calm down her dog
    would have died."

So, what's the point of this story?

Well, as I mentioned before, different dogs will have different
needs but this is also true for the dog's state.

Pregnant dogs will need a WHOLE LOT MORE than dogs that are not
pregnant. They will need some vitamins and more nutrition to keep
them healthy as well as help them feed their puppies properly.

The dog in my story WASN'T getting the right amount of nutrients
and didn't even have a check-up after giving birth.

Don't worry the dog owner, the dog as well as her puppies are doing
very well now and the vet only charged as necessary.

I really hope that you will learn a lot from my story as well as my
    newsletter.

All the best and take care

    Warmly,

    Sharda

    Hi and welcome everyone!

This is Sharda with another healthy pet foods newsletter!

Welcome back to the last part of healthy pet foods and dog nutrition!

Today we will be talking about the special needs and dog nutrition of senior and pregnant dogs.

    Let’s start shall we?

HEALTHY PET FOODS – SPECIAL NEEDS OF SENIORS

Senior dogs require dog nutrition and a diet suited to their advanced age and biological systems. A high quality diet which caters to the dog’s mature metabolism will be important.

Senior dogs especially need these higher quality healthy pet foods in order to make up for any of the dog’s own short falls.

Dogs, much like humans, require special attention as they age. Providing this attention and care will increase the longevity and well being of your pet. Starting from puppy hood, the diet of your dog helps to build a foundation of health.

With a sturdy foundation, your dog will be able to live through his adult life and into his senior life with the greatest possible health.

As the dog approaches five to seven years, special care in his diet will need to be taken. Most dog breeds see a decrease in metabolism during this time and an increase in the need for certain pet supplements to help keep bones and joints strong.

Obesity is often a concern for older dogs and should not be taken lightly. Obese dogs are prone to several dog health concerns and these concerns are doubled if the dog is advance in years.

There are many wonderful pet foods available on the market for senior dogs. Many commercial pet food labels have a senior variant which is aimed at providing your older dog with the needed dog nutrition.

There are many other factors that must change in order to provide your senior dog with a better lifestyle. Reducing stress is important to keep up the feeding routine and other routines in your dog’s life.

Exercise is always important no matter the age or breed of your dog and while your older dog may not be able to sprint like he used to, moderate exercise will increase blood flow and help digestion.

Along with veterinarian check - ups and high quality healthy pet food, you can provide your senior dog with the tools necessary to fully enjoy his golden years.

Senior dogs may have specialized needs depending upon their lifestyle and medical conditions so some pet foods may not suit the dietary needs of your dog.

If you have any questions it’s always best to consult your veterinarian.

HEALTHY PET FOODS - PREGNANT DOGS

Pregnancy takes a great toll on the expectant mother’s body and as such, she will need more dog nutrition.

Those healthy pet foods developed to promote growth, such as puppy food, will provide these nutrients and are recommended for many dogs in many brands.

It is very important to make sure your pregnant dog has a balanced diet during these months and the months following for the mother and the puppy’s sake. Puppy chow is often recommended for pregnant dogs as it has added nutrients that cater to a growing and changing body.

You will also have to feed your pregnant dog more than once or twice a day as she will require more calories. If your dog is not prone to weight gain then feed her as much as she wants.

However, keep an eye on her weight, as overfeeding during pregnancy is a common problem. For the first six weeks, her pet food consumption should not differ all that much from normal; it is only after the sixth week that her appetite will increase.

When her appetite drops or disappears around the ninth week then the puppies will be born within the next few days. If the mother does not want to eat during the middle of the pregnancy, try moistening her pet food and give her positive encouragement to eat.

Since the dog is going under so much change both emotionally and physically, she will need additional support. Along with a fortified diet, exercise is vital.

Exercising will keep the mother in top shape which will help the mother be able to properly provide nutrients and care to the puppies. Remember it is important to consult with your veterinarian concerning any pet food for any life stage.

Puppies, adults, seniors, and pregnant dogs all require their own specialized diets in order to maintain proper health.

Finally, this ends our 3 part newsletter about healthy pet foods and the special needs that will require the different stages of our dog’s lives.

I really hope that you learned a lot during this 3 part healthy pet foods newsletter!

All the best and take care

    Warmly,
