    eye goo!

hello to all the king charles owners out there!! need a little help with the disgusting eye goo that both my dogs have. multiple times a day i seem to have to wipe their eyes because of sticky, white stuff in their eyes. not so much the tearing. more like the "sleepy's" we get. but theirs is sticky. sometimes even their eyes are a bit red. ive taken them to the vet numberous times, they think its allergies, but the drops they are giving me just do not seem to work. your input would be appreciated!!

    thanks so much
    denise, bella and boscoe

It might be an eye infection, or worse. like glaucoma. I would call the Vet and have them checked out. Better be safe than sorry eh?

I agree, you better get to your Vet. Last spring when the snow melted there was something on the grass that looked kinda like hair but it wasn't. My Golden got that same white stuff in her eyes so I took her to my Vet and he gave her some drops but they did nothing, we thought too it was allergy. He sent me to a Opthomoligist in Minneapolis and she diagnosed Pigmentary Uevitis so Holly gets a drop in her one eye every morning for the rest of her life. We caught it early so hopefully it will not get any worse.

    Good Luck, keep us posted.

We found bathing with a mild saline solution cleared up the problem in a couple of days
