    Digging

I have a nine month Bichon, who loves to dig up the yard, and eat whatever he finds in the hole. Is there a way to discourage this? (black earth, white dog)

Our bichon is 3 1/2 months old and isn't going outside yet (waiting for all the shots to be done) but he loves to dig in his litter box and also in his beds. Maybe you could give him a sandbox he could use to get his digging tendencies out? I've heard this helps alot to keep them from digging in the yard.

YES! Once you give them a place to dig and allow them to dig in that certain spot....they usually will give up digging after awhile.

If your dog doesn't stop digging on his own this is how I stopped mine from digginh holes in out yard. each time I found a hole I would pick up his dog poop and put it in the hole and cover it up. After doing this for a week or so the dog never again dug any hole anywhere.

I've heard about putting the dog poop in the hole and covering it. My cousin has 3 dogs and he said this has worked with all of them within a short period of time.
