    Dogs that digs trash

    I understand that this behavior is rooted because of hunger, boredom or a strong odor. For me a good way to avoid this is to store the trash in a place away from the reach of the dog(obviously!) and to use bitter apple.

    What about you guys?

    Definitely!!! You are right on. We keep our trash can in the closet with the cleaning materials. Both of which I do not want my dog (or any visiting dog or child) to be able to get into.

    I have also used bitter apple in the past when my dog was a puppy and I didn't want her to get into or chew certain things. It worked like a charm!!!

    Yes, bitter apple really works great in this kind of situations.
