Schutzhund is good training for all dogs. The reason why the trainers say that is because a dog who destroys the house is determined and focused. When you can get a dog determined and focused, it makes for easy training, because the "will" to learn is always there.

Rupert loves playing ball too he loves me to throw it and he will keep bringing it back for me to throw again, I think he would do that all day if I let him!

    Rupert sounds like my guy
If you can find a dog pool and a trainer he might be good at it
My little girl would also chase a ball all day but she wasn't interested in dock diving this summer - only swimming
I think that is because she was still very young
I'm expecting next summer when she is more mature she will also be a dock diver

You are right Sarah - my guy has a great "will" to learn
The only problem is you have to constantly provide him with new things to learn or he gets into trouble

    Hi Margaret,
You never know where you will find a pool
I live out in the middle of nowhere and I saw a charity event on the internet very close to my home
It was a dock diving demonstation
I didn't know the pool was there - now that's where my guy trains
I often say that my dogs are smarter than me - I have to be on my toes to keep ahead of them
